Herbal Education Classes and Certifications at the Northeast Holistic Center
In order in educate the public, as well as the health practitioner, about the exploding trend in the use of herbal products in lieu of allopathic and chemical medication, the Northeast Holistic Center presents herbal education classes. These classes explore different herbs, their uses and means of administering them appropriately. Some classes also include herbal walks for the purpose of learning what the herbs look like in their natural setting.
We offer classes, lectures, and a certification course (called Basic Herbal Care) in herbal education. Basic Herbal Care is also offered as a correspondence course. Please visit our calendar for upcoming classes, or call us for more information or to schedule a lecture.

Basic Herbal Care Certification
Also available is a more in-depth study of and experiential work with herbs in the Basic Herbal Care classes. The Basic Herbal Care Certification program includes the twenty-four classes, practicum work and application for certification.

Basic Herbal Care Certification Correspondence Course
This course of study has been approved by the state of New Jersey for massage schools and has been taught throughout New Jersey and New York. It is the same course of study that is taught here at the Northeast Holistic Center. If a student wants to take some classes on-line/home study as well as attend other classes in New Jersey, the classes are compatible.
A Certificate of Completion is offered for the "Basic Herbal Care" program, once you have successfully completed all homeworks, case studies and written examination. The course is designed to discuss two to four herbs or other phytotherapy per class. The classes contain other interesting and valuable information on all aspects of Herbal Education. Each class has a homework project that may include materials. Cost of the materials & shipping is included in the class fees.
Classes are offered as individual classes, or in sets of three, six, twelve or twenty-four. (Class twenty-four is the final examination.) Payment can be made by check or money order made out to the Northeast Holistic Center. Classes are sent out weekly by e-mail on Friday. However, each class is sent out only after the completion and receipt by the N.H.C. of the previous class homework. (All classes are offered in English only.)
