Aromatherapy Classes and Certifications

The ancient art of aromatherapy is invaluable in helping us overcome the stresses of the modern day world. Through the use of aromas from essential oils, certain responses can be elicited within the nervous system to assist with relaxing or energizing, helping one sleep or creating a certain mood. Aromatherapy has been practiced for over 5,000 years, and its modern day resurgence gives us more choices in healing our bodies, emotions, mind and spirit, naturally.

Aromatherapy is a non-invasive, non-toxic, and pleasurable way to enhance our lives. It utilizes essential oils, or the vital, alive part of a flower, plant, fruit, grass or tree that is distilled in order to remove the active, fragrant part of the oil from its other components. This concentrated essential oil is what we work with. Because of its concentration, it is important to understand how to use it properly. When used with understanding, aromatherapy is invaluable for use as air fresheners, massage oils, baths, cosmetic uses and other means that we utilize to heal our body, emotions, mind, spirit and environment.

The Northeast Holistic Center offers aromatherapy classes, lectures, and a certification course (called Aromatherapy & You) in aromatherapy. Aromatherapy & You is also offered as a correspondence course. Please visit our calendar for upcoming classes, or call us for more information, to schedule a lecture or for a private aromatherapy session.

Aromatherapy Classes

Introduction To Aromatherapy is a two-day seminar, exploring the world of blending essential oils. Work with and experience thirteen essential oils. Each oil pertains to a particular body system or function.
